The ChocoLED brand is the future of tanning, dreamed and created by Chocolate Brown ChocoTubes.
The LED tanning unit is a separate UV-A (ultraviolet “A” components) and UV-B (ultraviolet “B” component) LED (Light Emitting Diode) SMD (Surface Mount Device) construction, supplemented with special (up to two different colors) light therapy LEDs.
Unlike the tanning tubes and facial tanners, we have developed the LEDs to the optimum of the melanogenesis (UV-B) and immediate tanning (UV-A) weighting functions specified in the DIN 5031 optical standard, achieving a level of tanning never before reached with lower ultraviolet radiation exposure.
In terms of tanning, radiation in other spectra (e.g., visible or infrared) can be partially or completely eliminated, as ultraviolet radiation has been optimized for skin tanning.

The Hybrid tanning bed is a tanning machine where, in addition to traditional tanning tubes, modern UV-emitting LEDs also tan the skin. This typically refers to LED facial tanning in horizontal machines, where high-pressure facial tanners or spaghetti tubes are usually used. The Hybrid tanning bed was created by combining these two entirely different technologies.
Compared to traditional Chocotubes, ChocoLED results in a more durable, noticeable, and darker tan!
ChocoLED is not hot, does not provide a burning sensation, and does not scorch the skin like traditional high-pressure facial tanners, as the skin does not tan from heat.
ChocoLED does not emit intense light, and it does not radiate in the infrared or UV-C range, or other wavelengths that are useless for tanning, like a high-pressure facial tanner.
The UV radiation (which tans the skin) is not felt as heat and is not visible as light.Strong light, heat (infrared), and UV-C radiation from high-pressure facial tanners are all unnecessary side radiations for tanning; these are simply byproducts of traditional tanning tubes and high-pressure facial tanners.
Thanks to modern technology, UV LEDs emit minimal unnecessary side radiation compared to Chocotubes.
The spectrographic radiation pattern of ChocoLED cannot be compared to the spectrum of traditional tanning tubes and facial tanners.
According to accredited measurements by the National Institute of Radiation Biology and Radiological Health, ChocoLED facial tanners emit significantly reduced (almost negligible) infrared (750nm-1mm) electromagnetic radiation compared to traditional high-pressure facial tanners.
While using ChocoLED, there is no burning or scorching heat on the facial skin, which is typically felt with traditional high-pressure facial tanners, and no UV-C radiation is generated.
It is recommended for all tanning bed users, especially for those who “slip” in horizontal tanning beds, or for those who turn off the facial tanner during tanning or cover their face to reduce the significant heat associated with infrared radiation.

ChocoLED tanning units primarily emit radiation in the ultraviolet range, which is responsible for tanning. Compared to traditional high-pressure facial tanners, their infrared electromagnetic and other secondary radiation is negligible, as confirmed by accredited measurements from the National Institute of Radiation Biology and Radiological Health. Their environmental impact is significantly more favorable due to the considerable difference in electricity consumption.
